Before dedicating himself to school, Jason served as a Navy Corpsman for the US Navy.
★ Served 3.5 years attached to a United States Marine Corps infantry unit which was 3rd Battalion 6th Marines Kilo Company 1st Platoon
★ Completed two tours overseas – Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004 and Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005
★ Was injured while on duty in Iraq and received a Purple Heart
★ Received several other medals and accommodations during his time defending our country
★ After retiring from the military, used his GI bill to earn 3 degrees
“Over 10 years ago while traveling home from a vacation, we were detoured off of 295 and ended up on Historic Route 5. It was that day that we decided if we were to purchase a home and stay in Richmond long term, we would call this side of town home. Fast forward two years, and we ended up nestled into our new home right off of Route 5, where we have now lived for nearly a decade. We consider ourselves Richmonders and are avid HAVOC fans.”
